Sea-to-Sky Aircraft Maintenance Engineering Scholarship

In 2024, Camber Aviation Management proudly launched the Camber Aviation Sea-to-Sky Aircraft Maintenance Engineering (AME) Scholarship, administered in partnership with the British Columbia Aviation Council (BCAC).

This annual $3,000 scholarship is awarded to a student from the Sea-to-Sky corridor who is pursuing Aircraft Maintenance Engineering training at a recognised BC institution. Beyond financial support, Camber also provides mentorship opportunities, helping the next generation of aviation professionals gain both technical skills and industry insight. By focusing our support locally, we aim to strengthen the future of aviation in British Columbia, ensuring fresh talent and passion continue to drive our industry forward.

Inspiring Tomorrow’s Aviators at Coast Mountain Academy

Camber’s connection to education doesn’t end with scholarships. For over six years, Tom Chatfield has led an aeronautics programme at Coast Mountain Academy, guiding young minds through the science and magic of flight.

Students explore the theory of flight, aircraft engineering, and passenger cabin design through hands-on projects, including shaping wings for wind tunnel testing and competing in Camber’s annual Paper Airplane Contest. Winners of the contest are rewarded with a real flying experience — navigating Cessnas over the stunning landscapes of Squamish and Howe Sound, with the top students even taking a turn at the controls.

The programme is designed to bridge the gap between classroom learning and real-world application, igniting curiosity and inspiring students to consider careers in aviation, engineering, and beyond. Several past students have already taken their first steps toward becoming pilots and aeronautical engineers, a testament to the programme’s lasting impact.

Supporting New Hope Daycare and Nursery School

Camber has supported New Hope Daycare & Nursery School in Dar es Salaam, Tanzania since 2022, helping to provide meals and early education to local children.

What began as a gift of opportunity has grown into a broader commitment. Today, Camber is funding the construction of a new kitchen and rebuilding laboratories at New Hope, creating a safer, stronger foundation for learning. Previous support has helped expand classrooms and playgrounds, bringing new energy and possibility to the school.

At the heart of New Hope’s success is Basili Seleman, whose tireless work through the Circle of Life Foundation has transformed the lives of countless children. Through his leadership and the generosity of supporters like Camber, New Hope continues to grow, giving children a safe place to learn, dream, and reach for a better future.
